Alpine Rescue Valbondione

The station was born in 1954 by the founder Ugo Giudici, today it is composed of 20 rescuers all volunteers, among them there are mountain professionals and nurses, and a dog unit.

Our station is the small house at the entrance of the town with an attached helicopter pad, which is opened during rescue activities, meetings, civil protection emergencies etc.

During the year we have numerous distress calls which are largely resolved by the helicopter rescue and other times by the team. The station is equipped with an off-road vehicle and a snowmobile for getting around and for helping people in need more quickly.

The process of joining our team has among the main characteristics a strong attendance of the mountain in all its sports and in all seasons, with a lot of passion and after passing the selections to enter you can also join this team. The managers of the station are currently: Rodari Matteo, Piffari Stefano and Olivari Claudio.

Alpine rescue is activated via the number 112, the unique emergency number.
